·     *  I ordered this product on 5th August, 2020 and am giving it review after 2.5 months... First of all don't give negative review... This product is awesome but you have to know how to use it and my friend who is a medical equipment expert told me how to use it properly. You just have to take 3 readings with the difference of 1 min each of the same hand in proper position as the doctor takes in hospital and then take the average of all three... I ensure you the readings will not vary too much. Yeah, it consumes battery. But, I haven't changed the battery till now...means 3-4 months, the battery works, and we use a lot... Go for it... For the patient with pressure problem, it helps you to decide whether to go to hospital or not... Reduces effort and doctor checkup charges.

     *  Both my mother and father have BP issues, though it’s just minor and they are on medication. Still I thought of getting one BP monitor which can be effectively used to monitor BP on daily basis. I had an eye on this model since a long time.

     Owing to its good history in this field, I went for its product by Omron. I chose basic model, as it’s cheaper and does the primary task of BP measurement. Rest all gimmicky features can be avoided.
 

T   This machine is quite handy on said task. Using it is easy for everyone, and even your elderly parents can measure BP on their own.

·         Sharing my personal experience.

     (1) I initially bought Dr. Morepen BP-11 on flipkart. But it does not support charger and work via cells only. Reading also fluctuate in that.
Then I purchased Dr Trust from Amazon which supports both cells and mobile charger (USB cable).
(2) Readings are accurate till now. I have measured several times, no fluctuations.
(3) Store readings of 2 users separately. Record 120 readings of each user.
(4) Talking functions is nice add-on. Supports both Hindi and English.
(5) Free thermometer.
(6) I compared all Bp monitors, and can tell you can go for this product definitely.

 

·       * Just got this product now, used it & it is quite good following is what i felt personally after using it (may differ for others)

Pros:
1) has a nice talking feature in dual language with quite a loud voice unlike other bp machine quite useful for old age people who has vision problems.
2) Has a previous Bp readings storage feature in memory for upto two users.
3) Can be used with a micro USB cable i.e. you can use it just by plugging in your mobile charger when batteries run out unlike other bp machines where you need an dc wall adapter to run it.

Cons:
1) backlight is not very strong so difficult for old people with vision problems to see the readings.
2) Readings read aloud by the machine in both the languages are not very clear could have been more slow & clear reading aloud.

Would definitely suggest the company to improve these above Cons. Else everything is good about this machine will definitely suggest to buy it for normal people but for old people with vision & hearing problems will not suggest it as both the display & voice are not so bright & clear respectively. Overall it's a good machine happy to have it keep up the good work Dr. Trust.

Review

     My grandma whose blood pressure is mostly in the normal-high normal region, complained of dizziness and I immediately tested her BP using this monitor and the reading was 190/100. We immediately took her to the emergency hospital where the doctor confirmed the reading and gave her a lasix injection which brought down the reading in a few minutes. We possibly averted an emergency situation, thanks to the accurate reading of this monitor.

·         This is what you'll get.
-The sphygmomanometer with the cuff (24-32cm/9.4-12.6" stretchable) and having the artery mark ,the bulb does not require too much effort and the readings are till 300mmHg with markings every 2mmHg.It gives an accurate reading almost every time (as compared to an automatic BP monitor)
-A black soft bag for carrying the thing
-A stethoscope which gives quite clear sound, both for BP as well as heart sounds.(It only has a diaphragm though, no bell)
-A user manual(in 5-6 different languages) along with the warranty card.
All the products are sturdy and seem to be long-lasting.
Also, Amazon delivery is quick with good packing. All in all a 5 star product.

 

·         Excellent product. Certainly value for the money. Pressure-meter is accurate. Stethoscope is pretty good. You may however need some tweaking to get the best results. Pressure meter may arrive with some zero error ( meaning it does not read zero when cuff is totally deflated ). Mine arrived with a zero error of 6mmHg. This can be easily adjusted ( not mentioned in user's manual ). Remove the rubber tube from the nozzle of the meter. Loosen the nut holding the nozzle ( nut has two small dents in which you can insert two tips of a nose-pliers and turn the nut ) and then just turn the nozzle anticlockwise to get the pointer to zero. Tighten the nut again.
The stethoscope must have the ear plugs entering at an angle to match the angle of ear canals. However the stethoscope is shipped with ear tubes directly pointing at each other ( perhaps to pack it flat for shipping ). You can easily turn the ear tubes through about 30 degrees in their holding clamp so that when you put them in your ears, they enter exactly in direction of your ear canals. Remember when you put on the stethoscope the ear tubes should not enter the ears at right angle but should have been turned at an angle of about 30 degrees pointing towards your nose. It will give you more comfortable fit and very good noise isolation.
Using stethoscope may require some practice. Try hearing to your heart beats. Try listening to grumbling in your tummy. Just have fun and get used to using it. For blood pressure measurements the point where you need to put the stethoscope cup is almost at the center of your elbow crease. The systolic thumping ( the beats you hear when the blood starts flowing when you bring down the pressure ) is more difficult to hear as it starts with a very faint murmur. The diastolic point is much easier to detect as thumping become quite loud by then and point at which it disappears is quite obvious. Using this needs some practice to get used to.
A marveloeus equipment and a lot more accurate than digital one. The problem with the digital ones is not its pressure sensor - that is pretty accurate. It does not use stethoscope to decide when the blood starts flowing in pulses at systolic and when it goes into total laminar flow at diastolic which is a direct and therefore very accurate method. It uses the indirect method of detecting the minor pressure ripples riding over the main pressure to detect the systolic and diastolic points. This method is prone to errors.
Use this equipment - it is more accurate and never gives a wrong reading and boy! Is it elegant! You can really impress people around when you use this. I am happy with this. Now I wonder why I ever bought the digital one.

·         This product came in poor packaging which was torn at certain places. However the product itself was not damaged.
Diamond products have always been of high standard in medical equipments.

Pros
Great overall build quality of the product.
Cuff is made of good fabric.
Pump is soft and bouncy.
Pump knob has good speed control.

Cons:
The tubes could have been of better quality(Nitpicking).

Ignoring the tubes(which I was nitpicking), the products has good sturdy build.
This product also comes with 1 Year warranty and wire brush
If you are looking for a nostalgic medical equipment in good working condition then go for it.

 

·         Good product, got in great new condition, not damaged or leaking or anything. Built quality is surprising solid, even more than it looks in pictures. The control screw adjustment is very accurate and easy. One of the most accurate bp monitor available in India, the digital ones don’t even come close to the power of real mercury. But handle with care else the mercury can seriously damage the environment if disposed with household waste.
